Vern and Letha arrived here by driving around the block, behind the Eisenhower Center. While Letha was spell-bound by the Quilting history, Vern headed right for the Telephone Museum.

After viewing the main building they explored the back yard where they found the Carousel and this old house, a real log cabin which was build by the Volkman family in 1858. It is furnished as a typical log cabin.   Letha also went through the barn.

From here, Vern and Letha continued their trip to Hutchinson, via Ellsworth, to West and South.
