Vern's father lived here for many years, off and on. He visited his father, Herman
Bouwman in 1959, just before Vern got married. They did not have much to talk......
about but his father was near tears. Vern could tell he was a lonely man but there.
was not much he could do about it. Visiting took place here in the front part of the
