S.S. Belgenland.

Berend, a farm hand, was the son of Jan Watzes Noord,
laborer and Zwaantje Kornelis. Clara, a servant girl, was the daughter of Bote Gosses de Jager and Sara Heerkes Pol.

Elizabeth probably traveled through Amsterdam and Rotterdam to arrive at Antwerp.  She also might have seen the white cliffs of Dover.

Elizabeth married Jacob Bouwman in about 1889. Jacob immigrated at the age of 3 from Uithuizen with his parents Jan and Durrke and 3 siblings.  How the voyage to America was made is not known at this posting. The map above now shows that both took the same route.
