On February 21, 2017 I was in the Vintage north recycle room and noticed that a huge bag of RECYCLED PAPER had been placed in the right GREEN DUMPSTER. The plastic bag was about 9 cubic feet in size - BUT WAS BROKEN. the paper was beginning to scatter in the dumpster.  I scooped what I could out and put in the back gray barrel.
My thinking here was, this paper could contain valuable history about persons who would probably not want this information out. This stuff "SHOULD NOT" be in this dumpster. Any body could pick this bag out and maybe find a way to gain some profit for themselfs.  If the bag had been put in the gray barrel in the first place, it would have just beem compacted and sent to a land fill somewhere in the state.
Before going back to my apartment, I put about half of a square foot in a bag.
In my apartment I wanted to study just how hard it would be to discover what words could be put back together.
There is no question; I had a lot of time on my hands to do this. :)

I first put all the pieces on my desk in rows like some show above, but was running out of room.
Then I pushed the pieces that did not make sense, to a pile in the back.

I actually looked at every single piece of paper, on both sides.
Some pieces were in clumps of as many as 8 because 8 sheets of paper had been placed into a shredder at once.
My finger nails made it easy to straighten out the clumps. Spit on my fingers helped to spread each piece apart.

Crooked Clumps
The LAST Pile!
:)

After about 5 hours, off and on, I finished the last pile.

PUT IT IN THE GARBAGE;
BURN IT; or SOAK IT!

Who ever put this in the dumpster - STOP IT - Right now!
All of those scraps of paper are now in the garbage.
I never want to do that again.
PICTURE PUZZELS ARE MORE ENJOYABLE. :)
