WW II
DURING
By Definition: Martial law is the imposition of direct military control of normal civilian functions of government.
This could be in response to a "TEMPORARY EMERGENCY" after an invasion or major disaster.

On December 7, 1941, just hours after the bombing of Pearl Harbor, the FBI rounded-up Japanese community and religious leaders, arresting them without evidence and freezing their assets.

Gov.  Poindexter declared martial law, notifying President Roosevelt by Telegram
and all forms of civilian law were suspended.

Lt. Gen. Walter Short declared himself "Military Governor" of the islands and set up
an entire new system of justice and control. He was removed in disgrace on December 17, 1941.

The military banned Hawaii civilians from
taking photographs of any of the islands coastlines
(to prevent the Japanese from finding points of entries)
and anything with war or military related imagery.
As a result, officials reviewed and confiscated
any photographs that contained
barbed wire, beaches or military bases.

At the time of the Pearl Harbor attack,
Japanese Americans numbered approximately
125,000 on the mainland in the United States and
200,000 in Hawaii, then a U.S. territory.

Some were first-generation
Japanese Americans (Issei), who had emigrated
from Japan and many
were not eligible for U.S. citizenship.

About 80,000 were second-generation (Nisei),
individuals born in the United States
who were U.S. citizens.

February 19th is the anniversary of a sad day in American history.
It was on that date in 1942…that Executive Order 9066
was issued…resulting in the uprooting of loyal Americans.
We now know what we should have known then;
not only was that evacuation wrong, but Japanese Americans
were and are loyal Americans. I call upon the American people
 to affirm with me this American Promise;
that we have learned from the tragedy of that long-ago experience
forever to treasure liberty and justice for each individual American,
and resolve that this kind of action shall never again be repeated.
Pres. Gerald R. Ford ;  1976

The President had officially repealed Executive Order 9066.
On December 18, 1944,
the government announced
that all relocation centres
would be closed by the end of 1945.

The last of the camps,
the high-security camp at
Tule Lake, California,
was closed in March 1946.

With the end of internment,
Japanese Americans
moved back to their homes
and began reclaiming
or rebuilding their lives.

A presidential commission in 1982 identified race prejudice, war hysteria, and a failure of political leadership as the underlying causes of the government's internment program.
In 1988 the U.S. Congress passed the Civil Liberties Act, which awarded
more than 80,000 Japanese Americans $20,000 each to compensate them for the ordeal they had suffered. Congress also issued a formal apology for the government's policy toward Japanese Americans.

FEMA Concentration Camps in 2005
Locations and Martial Law 'Executive Orders'

Executive Orders, on record for nearly 30 years, could be enacted by the stroke of a Presidential pen:
There are over 800 prison camps in the United States, all fully operational and ready to receive prisoners.

They are all staffed and even surrounded by full-time guards, but they are ALL EMPTY.
These camps are to be operated by FEMA (Federal Emergency Management Agency).
Should Martial Law need to be implemented in the United States, The PRESIDENT
Could sign one.
Then the attorney general would sign a warrant to each name on suspect list on record.
Ask yourself if you really want to be on the suspect list, if it exists.

The camps all have railroad facilities as well as roads leading to and from the detention facilities.
Many also have an airport nearby. The majority of the camps can house a population of 20,000 prisoners. Currently, the largest of these facilities is just outside of Fairbanks, Alaska.
The Alaskan facility is a massive mental health facility and can hold approximately 2 million people.

Executive Orders associated with FEMA that would suspend the Constitution and the Bill of Rights.

EXECUTIVE ORDER 10990:
Alows the government to take over all modes of transportation and control of highways and seaports.

EXECUTIVE ORDER 10995:
Alows the government to seize and control the communication media.
